Postgraduate study in Citizenship Education

Assessment

Each individual module for the will be examined by a combination of a three-hour unseen written paper and coursework, this will be weighted 60:40.

Examinations take place once a year in May/June. If you fail an examination at the first sitting you will be allowed one further attempt. Examinations are normally held in a student's country of residence in one of the University's examination centre available worldwide.

Both the Dissertation and the Report elements of the programme may be assessed partially on the basis of a viva - an oral defence of the written work submitted. The precise arrangements for each student's viva will vary depending on the circumstances of the person concerned, but, as with the written examinations, some travel may be involved as part of this process.

The course is assessed by portfolio and by examination. You can fit your study around your lifestyle. You don't have to give up your job whilst you study. The course will be directly relevant to your work.
