Online Masters in Educational and Social Research (OMRes)

Academic Direction: Institute of Education

The Institute of Education is the ‘Lead College’ and is responsible for the quality assurance of the Online Masters in Educational and Social Research. Founded in 1902, the Institute has a distinguished reputation for its programmes of study and its research into educational planning, practice, theory and policy. The Programme Director for these qualifications is Dr Will Gibson who is based with the Institute's Doctoral School.

The Doctoral School provides ESRC recognised courses for research training and skills development. One of its main goals is to enhance the research student experience at the Institute of Education through offering the best possible environment to support research and professional development.

The Institute of Education is a major specialist national and international centre of educational research. It is the largest university centre of educational research and one of the largest centres of social science research in the United Kingdom and provides expert supervision in a wide range of fields within education and related areas.
